The man desiring to build equestrian sport at the grassroots level is out of the United States Equestrian Federation. The Federation announced on Tuesday, January 12 that Chief Executive Officer Chris Welton is leaving his position.
The USEF Board of Directors named William (Bill) J. Moroney as Interim CEO until the position is permanently filled. The appointment is effective immediately.
Moroney is the President of the United States Hunter Jumper Association (USHJA) and serves on various committees. He is taking a leave of absence from his position.
Welton served the USEF for 18 months before his departure.
