Motor Vehicle Record Check [MVR]

Each motor vehicle record check (sometimes called a driver license check or motor vehicle report) is $8 plus the state’s fee. The states’ service fees range from $2 in California to $27.50 in Oklahoma. Consequently, the latter is the highest fee nationally.

NOTE: As of April 2019, New York is looking at upping its fee. We will update the charge as soon as the fee information is made available.

A motor vehicle check verifies a candidate’s license status, traffic violations, unpaid fines, and substance abuse issues. Additionally, an MVR can be useful for validating name and address records.
