Convicted sex offender Hugh Higley, who has been posing as a dressage trainer, was arrested in Arroyo Grande, California.
Officials say Higley was going by the name Ben McLeod and doing business as McLeod’s Dressage. Higley advertised his riding instruction services on a California horse board where a former client saw his post and recognized his true identity.
The 71 year-old was arrested for failing to register as a sex offender, providing a false identity to authorities, and for other warrants. Higley is being held on $200,000 bail.
