Lakeland Animal Nutrition Issues Voluntary Horse Feed Recall

A Florida horse feed manufacturer is voluntarily recalling several equine products saying there may be a “quality issue.” Lakeland Animal Nutrition issued the recall and is suspending the manufacturing and sale of all equine feeds until further notice.

Products affected by the recall include:

– Signature Status Pellet (Lot Number 14-251) – Manufactured Date: September 8

– Signature Equilete Pellet (Lot Number 14-259) – Manufactured Date: September 16

– Signature Status Pellet (Lot Number 14-280) – Manufactured Date: October 7

– LAN 10 Pellet (Lot Number 14-281) – Manufactured Date: October 8

The lot number can be located on the front center of the bag. If you purchased any of the affected products, you can return them to your dealer for a full refund, according to the company.
The Lakeland based manufacturer advertises the Signature Advanced Nutrition Formula is developed for Florida horses, with advanced nutritional solutions from its parent company, Alltech.
