A California hunter/jumper trainer has pleaded guilty to battery for assaulting his former girlfriend. Brock Clermont was charged with felony battery in August 2015 in Palm Beach County, FL.
An argument ensued between the two over dissolving one of their equestrian businesses, according to court documents. “Clermont threw her to the ground striking the back of her head on the pavement causing a lump and laceration.” After, Clermont fled the scene in his Escalade.
Clermont’s victim was taken to Wellington Regional Medical Center due to the excessive bleeding from her head. She was treated and released.
The Clermark Equestrian owner took a deal allowing him to plead guilty to a lesser charge of battery, which is a first-degree misdemeanor. The court sentenced Clermont to pay court costs and fees of $626.05.
Clermont now resides in California and operates his business out of Alder Lane Farm in Cotati.
