Loomes Wheeler, Jr. mugshots from April 2013 and April 2014 after his capture in the Bahamas.
A jury found a Florida stable owner guilty of seven counts including child molestation and battery Saturday. Loomes Wheeler, Jr. faced nine felony counts of rape and sexual abuse.
It took the Osceola County jury about nine hours of deliberation before finding Wheeler guilty on lesser charges. He was found guilty of three counts of battery, two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct. Wheeler was stone faced as the verdict was read.
The Horse World Riding Stables owner was arrested and charged in April 2013 after a 9-year-old came forward alleging Wheeler abused her since she was five-years-old. “She said he “raped” her in his motor home and he would take her to the ranch and rape her. She described rape as being touched in a way you don’t want to be,” according to the court filing.
After Wheeler’s arrest, he posted $115,000 bail and vanished after cutting off his GPS monitor. He was captured hiding in the Bahamas in April 2014.
Wheeler’s sentencing is scheduled for May 22nd. For more about the trial, click here.
