A convicted criminal is impersonating a licensed equine veterinarian in Kansas, according to state officials.
The Kansas Board of Veterinary Examiners issued an alert to veterinarians and their clients regarding Danny Russell Thomas, who is using the alias Chase McKnight.
Thomas, who is in the Wichita area, is accused of treating horses without a veterinarian license or training. He has allegedly offered no cost spay and neuter clinics as well in Cowley County.
Thomas has been convicted of multiple computer and theft crimes, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
Thomas is a white male, 49-years-old, 5’4″, and 160 lbs. He has black hair and blue eyes.
