Sex offender
A Connecticut judge sentenced convicted sex offender Robert L. Johnson to 25 months in prison Tuesday for a third probation violation.

The state asked the court for Johnson to serve a 36-month sentence due to his “blatant disregard” for the rules.
The defense asked the court for leniency. Johnson admitted he made a mistake last year when he taught a 12-year-old female riding student at Johnson’s Performance Horses in Missouri. Under the terms of his probation, Johnson is not allowed to teach or train children under 17-years-old.
The child’s mother told authorities she didn’t know Johnson was a convicted sex offender.
