An Arizona riding instructor was found guilty of 14 counts of sex abuse on Monday. Ralph Carr was convicted by a jury in Maricopa County Superior Court after years of court proceedings.
The child sex crimes happened between 2002 and 2009 in Peoria at Moonreach Ranch. This was the third time Carr stood trial; two previous trials ended in hung juries.
One of Carr’s victims, who is now an adult, said she didn’t initially tell her parents about being abused because she was worried she wouldn’t be allowed to ride horses again.
Carr is scheduled for sentencing on January 7, 2016.
